Ok, my comments function is screwed up. I got a comment on the top post not long ago, and the same comment decided to show up on EVERY post on the site. I tried to delete just one of them, and then ALL of them vanished. So just to let y'all know, you're still very welcome to leave a comment... I may end up accidentally deleting it, but I will see it first. >_< So before trying to translate Takeshi's poem, I just thought I'd announce that my BLOOD romanizations and translations will soon be located at the unofficial fanclub site known as The Holy Order of BLOOD, into which I have just been admitted as a Cured Soul. Wee. ^_^ Actually, I've just now submitted Byakuya, and someone else already beat me to sending Heaven... I still have these others, but who knows when I'll be satisfied enough with them to let a huge BLOOD fan base, not to mention possibly the BLOOD members themselves, see them. And yes, they will remain here, even if they all end up there someday. They were born here, and they won't be torn from their mommy's side. :P Ok... poem time. Wish me luck, because Takeshi's a naturally poetic writer, and I can't guarantee that my translation will live up to him. Anyway... first off, I don't think I'll bother to translate the title, because it's an extremely loaded term. "Rinne" refers to the Buddhist idea of the cycle of life and death that a Buddhist devotes himself to breaking free of in order to find enlightenment, and "tenshou" refers to the rebirth or transmigration of a Buddhist's soul into enlightenment when he breaks free of that cycle. Read that as you will. Rinne Tenshou Tracing your outline Following the contours of a memory I see the continuation of the dream In the dried air A spinning image cuts across I... can't open my eyes... From a fallen reality "There's no going back" Cold fingertips are... Even if I'm born again Even though I only want to be with you Even though all I want is to just be by your side... ...Meh. That's about all I can say about this translation. Just... meh. -_- I love Takeshi... (disclaimer: the poem above and below belongs to Takeshi of BLOOD, not me. I only claim credit for the romanization and translation. Insert rest of standard disclaimer here. >.>) posted by Becky at 7:25 PM

I'm always finding Japanese songs that I adore, but can't find English translations for. So I've made a hobby of translating such songs, and this is where I put them. Can't find the song you want? Send me the lyrics (kanji if possible, but romaji will do) and I'll see what I can do. But no promises, as I'm not exactly the most fluent Japanese speaker around. Also, PLEASE don't display any of these lyrics elsewhere unless you credit me. Just my name and a link back here would be great. Thanks!
