I'm really bored now, so I'm gonna go ahead and romanize/translate the two Japanese lines in #01 and Takeshi's poem inside BLOOD's CD jacket.

#01, by the way, is pretty darn cool. Kiwamu's distorted voice grinds out the English lyrics while Takeshi takes over on the last two, Japanese lines. It's rough, it's driving, and it's BLOOD. I'll go ahead and include all the lyrics here, and just romanize/translate the last two together. Yep. By the way, I'm also keeping the original spelling in the English lines. There will be no typos. Remember that. ^^

BLOOD - #01

Unknown which takes me to another time
Supplys me with pain and fear

The unknown wants all of my thinking
Circuits work my unconscious mind

Brain... death... born... nothing...

Mune ni kizamareta kizu ni sabitsuku itami kakaeteta
Fukaku zetsubou no fuchi ni ochiyuku ansoku no sekai e...
(I had embraced the pain rusting the wound carved into my heart
I'm falling off the edge of despair into my resting place...)

Well, that was easy. No footnotes! :P Except that the first line there, about the pain-rusted wound and stuff, makes a very strange-sounding sentence in English... so many sentence modifiers... but it sounds quite natural in Japanese. And another testament to Takeshi's flair for lyrical imagery, if you ask me. But then, all of his songs come across that way to me. Just look at Sakura and Byakuya. w00t for Takeshi!

Speaking of which, I'm quite looking forward to translating his poem now~ So without further ado, here it is.

Rinne Tenshou

Anata no rinkaku o nazoru
Omoide no rinkaku o tadoru
Yume no tsuzuki o watashi wa miru

Kawaita kuuki ni
Mawaru IMAGE ga kousa shite
Watashi wa... me o akerarenai...

Tenraku shita genjitsu kara
"Mou modorenai"
Tsumetai yubisaki ga...

Umarekawatte mo
Anata to issho ni itai dake na no ni
Tada, soba ni itai dake na no ni...

Well, as it turns out, I have a huge reading selection to do for tomorrow, and it's past 11. I should go get started. Should be able to translate this tomorrow.

(disclaimer: the lyrics and poem above belong to BLOOD, and the poem is specifically Takeshi's. Not mine. I only claim credit for the romanizations and translations. I'm just a fangirl trying to make J-music a little more accessible to Americans. No copyright infringement is intended. Please don't sue me, I'm a poor college student. T_T)

I'm always finding Japanese songs that I adore, but can't find English translations for. So I've made a hobby of translating such songs, and this is where I put them. Can't find the song you want? Send me the lyrics (kanji if possible, but romaji will do) and I'll see what I can do. But no promises, as I'm not exactly the most fluent Japanese speaker around. Also, PLEASE don't display any of these lyrics elsewhere unless you credit me. Just my name and a link back here would be great. Thanks!
